Pacing orgasm: discuss pauses and preferences
Pacing means agreeing on a speed and level of activity that both people want. It is not a promise of longer sex or a particular climax.
Explain the desired change
Say whether you want more pauses, less intensity or a less goal-focused encounter. Avoid diagnosing a partner as too fast or too slow. A request can describe your experience without assigning blame.
Make pauses ordinary
Agree on a simple pause or stop phrase and respond to it immediately. A pause can become an ending; there is no requirement to restart. Physical arousal or earlier enthusiasm is not permission to continue.
Keep treatment claims separate
A web script cannot treat a persistent sexual difficulty. If timing causes ongoing distress, or a change arrives with pain or other symptoms, seek an appropriately qualified clinician. Do not change prescribed medication on the basis of this guide.
