Climax differences between partners: a calm guide

Partners do not need matching orgasm timing for an encounter to be wanted or worthwhile. A difference is information, not a score.

Separate preference from distress

Ask whether the difference is actually a problem for either person. Someone may want more time, less goal pressure or a different activity. Do not assume a person who does not climax has failed or needs to continue.

Discuss a flexible ending

Agree that stopping, changing activities or resting can all be acceptable. Try a question such as “Would you like to continue, change something or finish here?” The answer should not create a debt to the other person.

Know the limits of a conversation

Persistent distress or a worrying change in sexual response deserves qualified support. Pain is not a timing issue to solve by continuing. This guide cannot identify a medical cause or prescribe a technique.
